HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN

What is HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN?

Hydrolyzed wheat protein is wheat protein broken into small pieces, used to condition hair and skin. For most people the risk of a reaction is low. If you're allergic to wheat or have reacted to it before, avoid it: some versions have caused hives, swelling, breathing problems and, rarely, severe allergic shock.

Allergen alert. Wheat-derived ingredient (cereal containing gluten), an EU-declarable allergen. Yasno shows an allergen alert when this ingredient appears on a label you scan. It can only point out allergens it finds. It never says a product is free of one.
